This section is about the logistics of moving from Canada to Poland to study, including some things I wish I knew at the beginning as well as some things I may never understand about how and why they do things here.
After watching this promotional video, I read the program of studies and became immediately motivated to apply. It seemed this was exactly the program that I’d been waiting for and the only reason I wasn’t already in it was because it didn’t previously exist.
The program involves studying classical philosophers (Plato, Aristotle, Augustine, and Aquinas) as well as contemporary phenomenological thinkers (Scheler, Maritain, Mounier, Edith Stein, and Dietrich von Hidebrand) all with the central feature of the program being the person of John Paul II. For students seeking an education ordered to understanding the human person (anthropology), happiness (ethics) and learning something about reality (metaphysics and phenomenology), this is an exciting opportunity.
